Kansas State Director opening at The Nature Conservancy
Kansas State Director opening at The Nature Conservancy
The mission of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. In Kansas, we’ve permanently protected 161,000 acres across the state, including six preserves that are open to the public, and we are recruiting a Kansas State Director (Director) to lead our team.
The Kansas State Director will oversee a team of people and a portfolio of conservation programs, fundraising, and operations for Kansas business unit. They will serve as the primary local spokesperson for TNC to internal and external audiences (including staff, volunteers, the advisory Board of Trustees, public and private donors, government agencies and officials, community leaders and other partners) and cultivate those audiences to support and promote TNC’s mission and vision. They will also work with the other business units in the Great Plains Division to accelerate our conservation impact across geopolitical and management lines.
The Kansas State Director reports to the Great Plains Division Director and works closely with a local trustee advisory board.
Are you a high-energy, big-picture leader who has experience driving results, leading large teams, and working with a board? We’d love to have you apply!
